In Vietnam, this summer's new rage is the helmet hat, a combination of a widebrim hat over a helmet. You might wonder, how did this ridiculous style started? Well, for most of the world, some styles actually begin out of practical necessity. Vietnam recently required its citizens to wear helmets while riding the moped (the major mode of transportation there). However, since the heat is oppressive, many ladies wear hats to protect their skin. How to wear a helmet and hat? Together of course! According to the article cited in the Source URL above, this new trend is taking over the country by storm. I think that's kinda cool.
